We need an update!!!

Hi there guys,

So I am a Professional recording artist from Atlanta, GA, United States and I feel like we need an improvement on how to search the beats we actually need on Beatstars.com. I am actually just getting started in the music business and as we know you always start as small as possible, right ?

I reallly feel like I ain't gon this time to always make an offer for the Exclusive Rights on the beats I need to buy y'all.. Plus we never can expect the price which is bad surprise.. I am at this stage when I am really tryna make profit off of them. Though, So look what I am suggesting right now can we please have a newly renovated search engine which could allow us to search only for Exclusive rights with a filter for the price range like for example 0-100$, 101-200$, Etc. You know Im saying? Im done clicking on each beat tryna find one affordable to me as time flies and I really need to put in the work right now, not tomorrow!!! Well, thank you Beatstars for this marketplace and Happy New Decade!

Cordially,

Lil Icy Jew

  • If you're at the point in your music career where you're figuring out how to make profit with your music still, then you should be purchasing non-exclusive licenses. Buying a license for that beat allows you use it for profit and test the waters. If the song were to catch and become a big hit, then you go back and purchase exclusive rights. No other artist will be able to create with that beat ever again...so it's best to just buy a license and try it out first, instead of buying a whole beat that fans have the potential to dislike. It's like that "Old Town Road" song, originally it was a $30 MP3 beat lease, Lil Nas X went back and purchased exclusive rights because it began to gain traction. Don't make choosing beats become a big expense, there's too many other heavier expenses that come with being an artist (recording, cover art design, marketing campaigns, press releases, photo-shoots, music reviews, etc).

For $30 (sometimes $20) you can purchase a basic license and gain the ability to create a track, perform it for profit, collect streaming royalties, and more. Plus, most producers have bulk discounts available, like "Buy 1, Get 2 FREE". What more do you want to be able to create consistently as artist and keep your fans update with new content.

Btw, a quality producer who is new and unknown will sell an exclusive for at least $200 USD. If you're paying less, expect less quality.

    Sincerely,
