How does Retention work if my Deal is Terminated?

    Overview

    In this article, we will provide a brief overview of the BeatStars Publishing deal’s retention period.

    After the date of termination, BeatStars Publishing will collect the publishing royalties for the songs you have registered for a retention period of one (1) year. Following the expiration of the Retention Period, BeatStars will continue to collect royalties on your behalf for a period of one (1) year in the U.S. and a period of eighteen (18) months in all territories outside of the U.S. This will ensure that any monies paid out in relation to your compositions do not go uncollected.

We will review what happens if you terminate your BeatStars Publishing agreement while you still have funds in your Sony SCORE account. Publishing How Do I Terminate My BeatStars Publishing Agreement? The BeatStars Publishing agreement lasts for 1 year and automatically renews for another year unless terminated with written notice at least 30 days before the term ends.
