How Do I Bulk Apply Free Downloads To My Tracks?

This article applies to:

  • Beat Sellers
    • Professional Plan
    • Growth Plan
    • Starter Plan

Overview

In this article, you will learn how to add free downloads in bulk to your tracks within BeatStars studio.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • This feature is currently only available on BeatStars desktop and not available on the app.
  • Settings applied here will overwrite the download options for all selected tracks.

Step-by-step Guide:

  1. Go to the Tracks section of your BeatStars Studio: https://studio.beatstars.com/content/tracks/uploaded

  2. Click the empty square box on the bottom left/ next to your tracks.

  3. You can manually select your tracks individually or select them all by "Select all X items".

  4. After your tracks are selected, under "Edit", click "Free download options".

  5. Select the option next to "Enable free download on selected tracks", then "Confirm".

  6. You can also change what the customer will receive and what they would need to provide when they download the free beat.

Click "Delivery Settings" to expand the remaining available options.

  7. Under "Downloaders gets", select what files the downloader receives. This could be a tagged or untagged MP3 file of your track.

  8. Under "Downloader needs to", select what the downloader needs to action/ provide to get their free download.

  9. You can also choose to allow "Commercial Use", which gives your free downloaders a non-exclusive license to use the track commercially. This helps protect your rights and secure compensation when your tracks are used, as they must split the master and publishing royalties with you.

    IMPORTANT NOTES:
    - Downloaders must provide a name and email address to generate the license under the "Downloader needs to" section.

    - You can adjust the Master & Publishing Royalty percentages as these are default at 50%.

    - You can expand the terms of the non-exclusive commercial use license under "View advanced terms".

  10. Afterwards, you can click "Confirm" to apply this change to your tracks.
