What Happens After You Make A Sale On BeatStars?

Overview

This article explains what to expect after you make a sale on BeatStars. It covers sale notifications, where to review your transactions, where funds may be received, and your responsibilities as a seller after a sale is completed.

We will never ask you for payment or personal details via direct messaging, we will never send links to external websites to gather those details, and we will never ask for further payment for a successful sale. What happens after a successful sale

When you make a successful sale on BeatStars, you may receive a notification by email and on the platform, depending on your notification settings.

  • You can manage your email and push notification settings here: Account Notifications.
  • Successful sales will appear in your Sales Transactions tab here: Sales Transactions.
  • To view unsuccessful transactions, go to the Sales Transactions tab and use the Status filter.
  • Funds are received through your connected payment method, such as your PayPal account. You can review your connected payment method here: Payment Methods.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • We recommend checking the correct PayPal account to confirm that funds were received for the successful transaction. 
  • We also recommend checking your BeatStars Wallet in case funds landed there for withdrawal for wallet fund purchases. What your buyer receives after a successful purchase

For transactions processed through PayPal, once PayPal confirms a successful payment, BeatStars automatically delivers the purchased files to the buyer’s receipt page and notifies them via email. 

If the buyer has a question about their purchase, files, license, or refund options, they may contact you directly through BeatStars messenger or email.

Your responsibilities as a seller after a sale

In line with the BeatStars Code of Conduct and Terms of Service, sellers are expected to provide reasonable post-sale support for completed transactions.

This includes:

  • Responding to buyer inquiries related to the purchase in a timely manner.
  • Delivering files that materially match the applicable product listing or marketed version.
  • Honoring the usage rights associated with the applicable license and BeatStars Terms of Service.

What BeatStars does and does not manage

Producers fully manage their own licenses, content, sales, and client communication. BeatStars does not manage these on their behalf.

BeatStars does not manage or control producer transactions. BeatStars is not a payment processor, so we cannot create, alter, approve, refund or cancel payments.

Refund requests from buyers

Because producers manage their own sales and content, all refund requests are handled by the producer directly.

If a buyer contacts you about a refund, you can review the request and discuss the available options with them directly. If you choose to refund a transaction, you can do so through your PayPal account.

Buyers may contact you through:

  • The Message button on your BeatStars profile page.
  • Your social media links, if provided on your profile.
  • The email address shown on their receipt page after completing a purchase.
