IMPORTANT NOTE: You can create a draft song submission at any time, but you cannot register a song until your Publishing Application has been approved.
Status: Queued
What it means:
Your Publishing Application is still under review by the team.
What happens next:
Once your application is reviewed and approved, you’ll be able to submit songs for registration.
Typical timeline:
Applications are reviewed within 7 business days.
Status: Under Review
What it means:
Your songs have been submitted successfully and are waiting to be reviewed for publishing registration.
What happens next:
The team reviews your registration details and prepares the work for the next stage.
Typical timeline:
Publishing registration review typically takes 2–6 weeks.
Rest assured, if your song shows Under Review, we have received it and it is in the queue.
Status: Processing
What it means:
Your songs have been approved and have entered the evaluation period.
What happens next:
During evaluation, the work is being validated and prepared for full acceptance into records.
Typical timeline:
The evaluation period can take up to 90 days.
Status: Published
What it means:
The evaluation period is complete, and your songs have been fully accepted into our records.
What happens next:
Your approved song will appear in your Sony SCORE account. You can see how much each song has generated by going to "Summaries" and then selecting "Song Summary".
Typical timeline:
Your approved song should appear in Sony SCORE within 5-7 business days.
