    • Starter Plan

Overview
In this article, you will learn how to apply a new voice tag to tracks you’ve already uploaded.

You can either replace the tagged preview manually per track or regenerate the tagged preview by republishing (if you didn’t upload a custom tagged file before).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Uploading a new tag in the Track Preferences Voice Tag section will only tag new uploads and not past uploads.

Option 1: Regenerate the tagged audio file by republishing (per track)

Use this if you did not manually upload your own tagged preview but want to use your own custom voice tag/ BeatStars default voice tag.

  1. Go to Track Preferences.

  2. Click on the Voice Tag tab and upload/set your new voice tag. You can follow the full guide here:
How To Add/Manage Your Custom Voice Tags For Future Uploads

  3. Once you have your default voice tag selected, open the track’s Edit page in Studio.

  4. Go to Preview Track (Tagged) and click on the "Trash icon" to remove the tagged audio file.

  5. Click "Publish Track" to auto-generate a new tagged preview.

Option 2: Manually replace the tagged preview (per track)

Use this if you have your new voice tag already embedded in your audio preview.

  1. Open the track’s Edit page in Studio.

  2. Go to Preview Track (Tagged) and click on the "Replace icon" to upload your new audio file that already contains your updated voice tag.

    1. Click "Publish Track".

Note: This overrides the previous tagged preview for that track.

Additional notes:

  • If you want BeatStars to generate the new tagged previews, use Option 1.
    • Set your new tag in your Track Preferences and re-publish (remove any previews first by clicking the trash icon).
  • If you already have your own tagged preview audio files ready for each track, use Option 2.
