Step-by-step Guide

1. From anywhere in your BeatStars Studio, click the Create button and then Create Track to get started.

2. First, you will need to upload your files. Choose an untagged wav file and drag it into the un-tagged audio section. If you upload a wav here, an mp3 copy will be automatically created.

3. Next, upload a zip file for your track stems. While optional, track stems are usually included in premium license types and most buyers will expect to have these available for purchase.

4. Next, you can also upload a tagged mp3 for streaming. This is optional as well because if you leabe this blank we will tag your untagged mp3 for you and automatically make it the streaming beat.  After your files are successfully uploaded, the section should look like this. Click Next Step to continue once you're ready.

5. Click Change Artwork to add track artwork to your beat. Then, you will be able to type in your track title and select what type of track you are uploading. You are able to upload a beat, a chorus (beat with hook), a song, a top line, or a vocal.

6. Then, you can schedule a release date. Leave this section as is if you want your beat to be public immediately.

7. You can write a track description, this description will appear on the track page and can be used to offer more information about the beat to any potential buyers.

8. Then you can set your track's visibility. Choose Private if you only want your track to be visible to you, choose Public if you want your track to be visible to everyone on the marketplace, and choose Unlisted if you want your track to be visible to people you send the link to.  Click Next Step when you are finished.

9.  Now, you can click the Autofill Metadata button and our AI will fill out your metadata for you, including your BPM and Key. You can now also fill in 1 tag for your beat as this will not be autofilled.

Note: if can also choose to enter this info manually.

10. Write the instruments used in the track and add any related youtube videos. When you are finished, hit Next Step.

11. If you worked with anyone else on the track, you will be able to enter your collaborators. You can set the profit share, which will split the earnings made from sales on BeatStars. And you are able to enter publishing percentages as well.

12. You will also enter any 3rd party loops or samples on this page by clicking the checkbox. You must disclose any loops or samples, even royalty-free samples from services like Splice.

13. In the Pricing section, select which of your active licenses you want to sell for this track, then select a free download option. When you're done, click Next Step.

14. Review your data on the final page, then click Publish to publish your beat to BeatStars.
