Overview
This article explains how to boost a track using the BeatStars mobile apps. Boosting a track allows you to promote it through the BeatStars Promote system so it appears more frequently across the marketplace and can reach more listeners.
You must be logged in and have tracks published to the Marketplace to be able to use the boost feature.
Step-by-Step Guide
Log in to your BeatStars account in the BeatStars Marketplace App.
Visit your profile on the Marketplace (this feature is available wherever your track displays on the Marketplace).
Click the "Boost Track" option under the desired track.
You will then be redirected to the BeatStars Studio App, where you can review the boost promotion campaign.
The default campaign is $5 per day, with a $3 bidding amount, and a duration of 3 days, for a total of $15. You can choose to edit the campaign before creating it.
Important noteYou will need to log in with the same account as your BeatStars Marketplace app for the boost feature to work properly. If you don't already have the BeatStars Studio app on your phone, you will need to download the app from the app store first.
Once you create your campaign, it will appear in your Promote dashboard for you to track the stats over the following days.
You can end a boost campaign at any time by clicking the "End" option on the details page for the campaign.
If the campaign is ended before all scheduled days have expired, any used funds in the campaign budget will be returned to your account as promote credits.
