Why do I need documentation for Publishing Registrations?

In order for BeatStars Publishing to collect your publishing royalties on your behalf, we require that all publishing registrations are supported by a signed document evidencing your ownership.

When you submit a song to the BeatStars Publishing Portal, you will have the opportunity to upload your signed documentation.

What documents can I upload?
As shown above, you can upload a signed agreement that outlines the full publishing splits among all collaborators. This can be one of the following:

  • A BeatStars Non-Exclusive or Exclusive License
  • A signed Producer Agreement
  • A signed Split Sheet

IMPORTANT NOTE: The document must be signed and specify the full publishing splits for all collaborators on the song.
