Overview
In this article, you'll learn how to add collaborators to a track to share profits and publishing splits with other producers or artists.
Collaborator Requirements:
- You must be the "Primary Contributor" to add collaborators.
- Your collaborator has to be a BeatStars registered member and subscribed to a paid seller subscription plan.
- They need to have their PayPal account properly set up and connected to BeatStars for beat sales.
- You can only add up to five (5) collaborators per track.
Step-by-step Guide:
- Log in to your BeatStars account and go to your Studio.
- Go to the "My Content > Tracks" section: https://studio.beatstars.com/content/tracks/uploaded
- Click the 3 dots to the right of the desired track and select the "Edit" option.
- Select the "Collaborators" section from the top.

Click the "Add collaborator" button.
- In the "Find Collaborator" pop-up window, run a search for your collaborator using the username or email address affiliated with their BeatStars account.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please refer to the "Collaborator Requirements" at the top of this Help Article if your collaborator does not appear or cannot be added.
- When you locate the user, click on the collaborator you wish to add.
- Set the collaborator's Role, Profit Share, and Publishing Share based on the agreed-upon terms with your collaborator.
- Click the "Publish track" button towards the bottom right when finished.
