How Do I Add Collaborators To A Track?

Overview

In this article, you'll learn how to add collaborators to a track to share profits and publishing splits with other producers or artists. 

Collaborator Requirements:

  • You must be the "Primary Contributor" to add collaborators.
  • Your collaborator has to be a BeatStars registered member and subscribed to a paid seller subscription plan.
  • They need to have their PayPal account properly set up and connected to BeatStars for beat sales.
  • You can only add up to five (5) collaborators per track.

Step-by-step Guide:

  1. Log in to your BeatStars account and go to your Studio.

  2. Go to the "My Content > Tracks" section: https://studio.beatstars.com/content/tracks/uploaded 

  3. Click the 3 dots to the right of the desired track and select the "Edit" option.

      
  4. Select the "Collaborators" section from the top.


  5. Click the "Add collaborator" button.

  6. In the "Find Collaborator" pop-up window, run a search for your collaborator using the username or email address affiliated with their BeatStars account.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Please refer to the "Collaborator Requirements" at the top of this Help Article if your collaborator does not appear or cannot be added.

  7. When you locate the user, click on the collaborator you wish to add.

  8. Set the collaborator's Role, Profit Share, and Publishing Share based on the agreed-upon terms with your collaborator.

  9. Click the "Publish track" button towards the bottom right when finished.
