Overview
In this article, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the necessary steps to follow when you receive a beat that has a voice tag attached. We will walk you through the process of identifying the presence of a voice tag, understanding its purpose, and the appropriate actions to take in order to either remove the tag or obtain a clean version of the beat. This guidance will help ensure that you can use the beat professionally and legally, whether for personal projects or commercial purposes. By following these steps, you can avoid potential issues related to copyright or unauthorized use, and make the most out of the beats you receive.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Producers fully manage their own licenses, content, and sales. It is fairly common in the industry for producers to tag files for certain licenses; BeatStars does not manage this. Generally, producers only have the Exclusive files untagged per their discretion.
Step-by-step guide
If your license stated that files will be untagged, please contact the producer directly regarding any comments or inquiries/concerns. You can do this by:
- Using the Message button on the producer’s BeatStars profile page.
- Clicking on the producer’s social media links (if provided on their profile).
- Using the email address from your receipt page (sent after you’ve completed a purchase).
